This is what I saw from my vantage point outside the bathroom door. Yes thats right, the opening of door not even wide enough to get my pinky finger in there. At first it was kinda funny. Your first instinct is to yell directions at your kid. But this Kamryn we are talking about here-only a year old and not the sharpest tool in the shed..... So ya after about 10 minutes she was still in there hanging out splashing around in the toilet I might add.-- Then panic set in for me.... Seriously there is no way of getting her out without cutting the door apart. There are no windows in this room either so its not like I am going up that way from outside... Then Alex starts crying " I waannnnt my Kamryn!" "I want my Kamryn!" I then went into Magyver mode and tried to figure out how I could push something thru the crack of the door to shut the drawer. - Wire hangers? Not strong enough, it would bend.....A stick from outside perhaps? No wait we dont have any trees in the backyard. I then went to the garage to see if Brian had any spare parts of crap hanging around and then thats when I got the idea of sticking a tent pole thru there....
As you can see from the picture below thats the crack I had to work with here. I ruined the door frame in the process but I finally got the drawer pushed far back enough to get the door open.....
A picture of the door frame which looks like a little rat poked at it. And there is sweet Kam as I went to rescue her, panic had set in for her as it had been a good half hour since I had tried to get her out. She had there just crying for about the last 1o minutes as it finally dawned on her that she actually was stuck in there and that play time in the toilet was over....

Brian and I never put safety child locks on there because I only had hand towels in those drawers and cabinets Whats the harm in towels right? I have sinced installed the child safety drawer locks on the drawer and she will not be opening them again until she is a teenager.
