Halloween

Here they are this year Piglet and Dorothy. Kamryn wore her costume with pride while Alex had a slight wordrobe malfunction with the Ruby slippers. Halfway thru trick or treating a big blister was in formation on the side of her foot. Pink circo target tennis shoes ended up taking her home that night.

The infamous hawkeye pumpkin I carved -- which almost ended up smashed in the street after the game against Indiana that day. Not that many Hawkeye fans around here. So strange?

Alex's pumpkin, complete with hands on the sides which are not shown in the picture...

Matthew carved these 2 beauties.

The Bathroom Incident

Let this be funny lesson in child safety for all of you out there. Kamryn went into her bathroom while I was putting her laundry away and started to open and shut all the cabinet doors and drawers. Alex comes in and says " Mommy I want to go play with Kamryn but I can't get in there." "Ok I will will help you in a second " At this point I was thinking Kamryn locked the door, um no problem, I have those stick keys for that..... I then went to survey the situation which was much more problematic then first thought. Kamryn opened the the drawer in front of the door blocking anyone or anything from opening it.

This is what I saw from my vantage point outside the bathroom door. Yes thats right, the opening of door not even wide enough to get my pinky finger in there. At first it was kinda funny. Your first instinct is to yell directions at your kid. But this Kamryn we are talking about here-only a year old and not the sharpest tool in the shed..... So ya after about 10 minutes she was still in there hanging out splashing around in the toilet I might add.-- Then panic set in for me.... Seriously there is no way of getting her out without cutting the door apart. There are no windows in this room either so its not like I am going up that way from outside... Then Alex starts crying " I waannnnt my Kamryn!" "I want my Kamryn!" I then went into Magyver mode and tried to figure out how I could push something thru the crack of the door to shut the drawer. - Wire hangers? Not strong enough, it would bend.....A stick from outside perhaps? No wait we dont have any trees in the backyard. I then went to the garage to see if Brian had any spare parts of crap hanging around and then thats when I got the idea of sticking a tent pole thru there....

As you can see from the picture below thats the crack I had to work with here. I ruined the door frame in the process but I finally got the drawer pushed far back enough to get the door open.....

A picture of the door frame which looks like a little rat poked at it. And there is sweet Kam as I went to rescue her, panic had set in for her as it had been a good half hour since I had tried to get her out. She had there just crying for about the last 1o minutes as it finally dawned on her that she actually was stuck in there and that play time in the toilet was over....
Brian and I never put safety child locks on there because I only had hand towels in those drawers and cabinets Whats the harm in towels right? I have sinced installed the child safety drawer locks on the drawer and she will not be opening them again until she is a teenager.

Food Coma

This happens alot at the house, I just happened to get a picture of it this time. The classic food coma. This is when Kamryn is happiest- passed out and dreaming nice graham cracker dreams.

Turkey Run State Park

Brian took a Monday off and we decided to do a fall nature walk at Turkey Run State Park, one of Indiana's finest. :) (Only because there are some cliffs and canyons, and thats about it for Indiana)

We first started out with a picnic in the wilderness to gerd our loans for hiking.... ( with Daddy).. Dora- the the explorer himself.

This is Kamryn's expression when we told her she was going to be put in a back pack.

This is trail number 6, an easy walk for preggos and 3 year olds. It was a very pretty canyon. There are however no photos of trail number 2.... a 2 mile "slightly rugged" trail as the park map explains it.-- I will call it the fun trail from hell. It was fun, but "slightly rugged" would not be how I would describe it. Lifting a 3 year old as well as your own fat pregnant ass thru rocks is not easy.

Kamryn 12 Months

Kamryn-- she is just a tad bit bigger than Alex- we could not fit her in the same outfit this time. Brian wanted to try, but that would just be torture.--- " Fat guy in a little coat..... fat guy........

Great Wolf Lodge Vacay

A couple of weeks ago Brian had some PTO to use before he lost it for good so he was forced to take a vacation... So instead of sticking around the house building stuff in the garage we went to The Great Wolf Lodge in Cincinnati, OH. All we did was drown our selfs in Chlorine for 2 days. It was awesome! Sorry no pictures of the whale..(me)

The fun wave pool.

The lazy river..........

Kamryn just wanted to climb up and down the steps all day long.

Playing in the water contraptions.....................

Here is Alex eye- balling here next move .. which happend to be the big orange slide, she went all by herself.

She went down this thing over and over again, sometimes showing up at the bottom completely backwards.

Cold Pizza

Why would we eat inside when we can enjoy our pizza in 50 degree weather?

Lets celebrate in style

Right after we told the girls they were going to be big sisters, and that it was a boy, they preceeded to celebrate with their best-est attire--- -- This poor baby boy, still months away from birth, but already screwd.

A Christmas Miracle

I apologize for those who are reading this and did not know that I was pregnant. I have been hiding, sick, slow, tired, and unsocial for a couple months now. As some of you may know, back in May there was an incident with a bottle of rum and you can guess what happened next. We were planning on having only one more kid, but not for another year or so.........However, today I had my anatomy ultrasound and what was reveled was nothing short of a miracle. Yes it is true, the Hamiltons made a penis! Its a boy!

Fun in the driveway

This is what happens when I come home and Brian and the girls are bored. Does it always have to be something dangerous? I could hear their quacks of laughter from Target.

kamryn, randoms

Being good sisters

I try and catch the rare moments here and there of the girls being nice to one another and not fighting to the death over something..... Below is some rare footage.

Here they are seen laughing in the toy box and not playing the game of who can be pushed out first....However Alex is planning her attack on Kam and using the doll as practice.

Ah yes a rare moment indeed, Alex shares her ice cream with Kamryn in the driveway.

Annual Trip to the State Fair

Here we are all chipper on the fair train awaiting greesy food, sugar, expensive carnival games, animal smells, and kiddy thrill rides. It didn't disappoint. :)

We started off on the food street. This is what Brian came back with at the table. My brother and I however, opted for the giant turkey leg and knawed on it like prehistoric people. Sorry no pictures, it was too gross.

Then off to the rides. Alex was excited that she was tall enough this year.

Double click on this picture and look at Alex's face.... Classic.

All smiles at the beginning......Alex didnt look so good after this one was over.

Both Grandmas decided to take Alex on this thrill ride.

Here is the train ride home....... And we are spent.
