Prayers for our little Nana

My little feeble Nana took a hard fall on Monday Jan. 7th  in her bedroom and severely fractured her left hip. It required her to have surgery and a plate and screws placed on her hip/femur.
She is working so hard in her physical therapy and is back at home in good spirits. Please keep her in your prayers for a speedy recovery. She would love nothing more to get back in the swing of things and play with the kiddos.

Nana- a day after her surgery. Still smiling.

This is almost exactly what her hip looks like now after the surgery. Ouch!

Nana working hard to go up and down stairs which is extremely painful.

Post Christmas 2012

The toy donation pile. I could imagine it now. All the toys crying as they are donated to a child care establishment.

Lets hope this guy was not there to greet them.

The indoor Christmas tree massacre. She was such a good tree. I hated to see her go in such a brutal way.

Patiently waiting for the big water dump.

Gamble Family Christmas

Christmas at the Gambles consisted of 2 breakfasts, one large turkey dinner, and an intermission at present opening time. What a fun day.

On  side note, too much fun was being had, so therefore the camera person was off that day. This is all she wrote.

Look at these 2 twins. Auntie Anna and I laughed together as we both purchased the same shirt for Matt and Poppie

Oh yes, the blizzard that never was, the day after Christmas. Ya it snowed but not very much.

And a  trip to Marion to see the Lewtons on new years eve....

Hamilton Christmas in Iowa City

The Hamilton Christmas came to Bridget in the Hospital this year. Before the presents could be opened, there was some Hamilton mayhem that needed to take place in East Moline.

First up. Snow fun

And a visit to the Hamilton house wouldn't be complete with stupid people antics. The kids loved it.

Then we headed down the the Iowa City ICU to open presents with the kiddos. Thank you to the U of I  ICU nurses and staff for allowing such chaos to ascend on there ICU wing. There were 6 kids, 6 and under and 5 adults all in one ICU hospital room at once.

Reaking havoc in the Coralville Holiday Inn Express hallway, where we enjoyed a fine Chili's catered Christmas dinner.

No trip would be complete to Iowa City with out visiting the regional areas mega mall, The Coral Ridge Mall.

And then back to the hotel to burn some steam off...

Pre- Christmas Festivities 2012

The Annual Christmas Cookie Decorating at the Kellers.

The Annual Christmas Pic in front of the Tree. Say hello to the cheesy McCheesertons.

Breakfast with Santa and story time with Mrs. Claus

Pre Christmas Snow storms......
Kevin and Brian ponder the thought of having four wheelers after dragging the kids up and down the street.

My post driveway shovel ninja look. High- Yaw!

Our Christmas tree this year. She was ginormous!
